Donations instead of gifts: Drive DeVilbiss supports local organizations

Like every year, Drive DeVilbiss has decided to use the Christmas season for good deeds. Instead of handing out presents, we donate to four organizations that support people in difficult life situations. Two of the beneficiary organizations are located near our site location in Isny, the other two in Mannheim, another central location in Germany.

The team determines the recipients

This year, we actively involved our colleagues in the selection of donation recipients. A survey not only offered several possible answers, but also provided a scope for suggestions. This allowed everyone to have a direct voice in deciding which organizations should be supported.

The donation recipients 2024

After evaluating the survey, the following organizations were chosen:

Around Isny:

Katrin and Celine hand over a donation to the representative of the association

Salomons Weg – Sternenkinder association

At the heart of the association's work are regular group meetings where parents and relatives can talk about their experiences in a protected setting. In addition to sharing experiences, the association also offers projects such as time-out meetings in nature and memorial services. The aim is to give those affected support and a sense of community to help them come to terms with their loss.

Katrin hands over a donation to the hospice representative

St. Nikolaus Children's Hospice in Bad Grönenbach

The children's hospice offers seriously ill children and their families a place of security. The focus is not only on medical care, but also on emotional and social support for the whole family. The facility makes it possible to spend valuable time together and offers space for mourning and saying goodbye.

In Mannheim:

Diakonisches Werk Mannheim

The Diakonische Werk Mannheim supports people in difficult situations by offering a wide range of services. In addition to practical support, the Diakonische Werk promotes social unity and social justice.
Our donation will benefit the ambulant children's and youth hospice service, part of the Diakonische Werk.

Annette hands over a donation to the representatives of “Das Tafelmobil Mannheim”

Tafelmobil Mannheim

The Tafelmobil is a project of the German Red Cross in Mannheim. It provides people in need with hot meals and groceries directly on site. This mobile addition to the work of the Tafelmobil saves many people the hassle and expense of traveling to the Tafelmobil.

Doing good together

We are pleased to be able to make a small contribution to helping people in challenging situations through our donations. A big thank you goes to our employees for their commitment in selecting the organizations.

With this tradition, we not only want to help, but also send a signal of solidarity. We wish everyone a happy and reflective Christmas season!
