The year 2024 was characterized by great progress, new ideas and a strong team spirit for our company. We would like to share with you the most important events that shaped our year.
The enhanced version of our portable oxygen concentrator. With the integrated Bluetooth function, users can now monitor their oxygen consumption via an app.
The AiO, a shower chair made entirely in Europe, can be quickly and easily adapted from a simple shower stool to a comfortable shower chair.
Our orthopaedic roller is specially designed for people with lower leg or foot injuries. As a knee scooter, it enables quick and safe mobility.
We have also taken a big step in the digital area: our new website went online this year, including a fully integrated online shop. This means that it is now possible for you to order products directly via our website – an important step towards making the ordering process simpler and more efficient. For end customers, we have integrated a dealer locator function so that the nearest dealer can be found at any time.
Our participation in Rehacare in September was a complete success. The trade fair offered us an ideal platform to present our new products and digital innovations and to engage in direct dialog. The opportunity to strengthen our team spirit was particularly valuable. As many international colleagues were present this year, it was the perfect opportunity to get to know each other better over a cozy dinner after the trade fair day. The time we spent together brought us closer together as a team and enabled us to work together more closely and effectively.
In collaboration with Sanrai International, we have developed the PulmO2, an oxygen concentrator designed specifically for developing countries. This product is designed to be robust and durable in resource-limited settings with unreliable power supplies, harsh environmental conditions and staff shortages. With the PulmO2, we aim to make health care more accessible worldwide.
We are placing increasing emphasis on producing our products in Europe to ensure sustainability and quality features. Because sustainability is more than just a buzzword for us. The AiO shower chair, for example, is fully recyclable and is produced in Spain to keep transportation routes short. We are also placing greater emphasis on environmentally friendly solutions and avoiding packaging waste when packaging our products.
Since 2015, Drive Medical and DeVilbiss Healthcare have been operating as one team under the brand name Drive DeVilbiss Healthcare. We have now completed the final step of the merger in September: The merger of Drive Medical GmbH & Co. KG and DeVilbiss Healthcare GmbH was officially completed. This opens up new opportunities for us to bundle our expertise and offer our customers worldwide an improved service. As part of the merger, we have centralized our warehouse in Hamburg, which has optimized logistics processes and made the supply chain more efficient.
Our teams have grown considerably this year and new colleagues have enriched the company with fresh enthusiasm and commitment. We welcomed six new employees in Customer Service, three new product managers, two production colleagues and one person each in Field Sales and Marketing.
We celebrated summer parties at the respective locations, which provided a wonderful opportunity to get to know each other outside of a professional setting. We enjoyed a barbecue and a cool drink in a relaxed atmosphere. In December, the entire workforce came together at our Christmas party in Isny - this time with a special visit from colleagues from Romania. It was an atmospheric end to a successful year.
We look back proudly on this eventful year and would like to thank our employees, partners and customers for their successful cooperation and trust. Together, we look forward to 2025 and the opportunities and possibilities that lie ahead.
